 |
Wireless: The signal
travels via a wireless transmitter placed on the control computers
serial port and transmits the message to the receiver at the
sign. |
| |
 |
Ethernet: The signal
travels through an Ethernet adapter using a static IP address
and converts the signal to RS485 allowing communication up
to 4000’ and allowing your sign to be controlled via
the local area network. |
| |
 |
Hardwired RS232:
The signal travels from your serial or USB port on your computer
directly to the sign between 25’ to 50’ away. |
| |
 |
IR Downloader:
The signal travels from the serial or USB port to the download
box. The box is then carried out to the sign and uploaded
to the communications box at the sign. |
| |
 |
Hardwired RS485:
The signal travels from your serial port on your computer
directly to the sign up to 4000’ away. |
| |
 |
Phone Modem:
The telephone signal travels from your PC to the Modem inside
your sign enabling long distance communication. |

of electronic messaging–from sending and creating, to
the editing of text, animations and graphics. AlphaNET software
brings together all the essential tools for realizing the full
potential of Alpha® displays, with unique features that
include: high-level capabilities for group messaging (via serial,
modem, wireless or LAN network), an animation library and support
for .GIF and .BMP files, calendar/date message scheduling, Jasc®
Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop Pro (PSP), Site Manager, and
Message Emulator, all within a useful and intuitive interface.
Create multiple messages to communicate special events, incentives,
news, and congratulations that contain text with logos, graphics
and animations. For added versatility and message enhancement,
included is a unique counter feature to display the minutes,
hours or days to an event or occasion. Features
include:
Schedule messages to display at different times, locations and
days “Message Simulator” allows you to view
messages before they are actually displayed
Allows user to have a network of displays via serial addressing,
modems, wireless, and Local Area Network (LAN)
Enables use of graphics and animations in popular formats
Contains a counter feature to display minutes, hours or days
to an event
Supports international characters
Ability to send messages to individual or groups of signs
Includes ActiveX control for real-time applications
Provides support for Alpha plug-ins
Supports a wide variety of scanners |

| ALPHA Sign Communications Protocol |
 |
Adaptive's protocol document allows you to be
in complete control of your ALPHA electronic message display.
The Adaptive protocol document allows your ALPHAsign to communicate
directly with cash registers, point-of-purchase displays, programmable
logic controls, your desktop PC, or almost any device with a
serial port. Post real-time information, boost morale, advertise
at the point-of-purchase, all from your own software application.
With Adaptive's ALPHAProtocol document you'll have your software
"Alpha Ready" in no time. |

| Custom Software |
Whether
it is pulling live information from a database, RSView 32,
custom interfaces with PLC’s, or simple messaging, ENTECH
can create software applications to provide you with a solution
custom to your needs. ENTECH
can write applications using all of the major programming
languages including Oracle, Active X, C++, etc. Our normal
projects include pulling simple “real-time” data
from a manufacturing facility to showing on-site weather information
for a missile range. Either way ENTECH
is here to provide complete “turn-key” solutions
for its customers big and small. |

| ALPHA
Ethernet Adapter II |
 |
Simply
attach the ALPHA® Ethernet Adapter II to the back of a display
and connect your Ethernet cable to the Adapter. The ALPHA Ethernet
Adapter II is easily configured remotely over your network.
No external power supply is required as the Adapter is powered
directly by the display. Where several displays are connected
together via an RS485 network, the MSS485 version is available
to easily connect multiple signs to one IP address on a 10BaseT
network.
Features include:
Easy connectivity to existing LAN's.
Networking via TCP/IP 10/100BaseT
Connection to Adaptive's full line of standard ALPHA displays.
Simple user setup of the IP address. |

| Remote
Control |
 |
For
Alpha 200, 300, 400, 4000, and 7000 series signs. Also for
Big Dot, and Solar signs.
A
Remote Control can be used to turn a sign off and on or to
clear its internal memory. Also, a Remote Control can set
a sign’s time and date
and its serial address. However, a Remote Control’s
most important—and most used—
purpose is the creation of text messages and graphic images
on a sign. |
| |
| IR
Loader |
 |
The
Alpha Message Loader records and stores programming information
(messages, text, graphics, animations, data, etc.) for Alpha
LED displays that are equipped with Alpha EZ95 and EZII Communications
protocol. The Alpha Message Loader can be programmed by a
personal computer with messaging software, or the Alpha Message
Loader can read a message directly from the memory of an Alpha,
BetaBrite, or AlphaEclipse sign that has been programmed by
computer and software or by a handheld remote keyboard.
The Alpha
Message Loader works with both indoor and outdoor message
centers. It works as an infrared transmission device with
Alpha and BetaBrite signs that are equipped with infrared
receivers. It works as a serial transmission device with Alpha
signs that don't have infrared receivers (AlphaEclipse models).
Once
messages are stored in the Alpha Message Loader, they can
be transmitted (transferred, downloaded, or copied) into one
or more Alpha, BetaBrite, and AlphaEclipse displays (any model). |
